50 Cent – Before I Self Destruct & Timbaland – Shock Value 2

The album artwork for 50 Cent’s upcoming studio album came out, as seen above, and also has a confirmed release date. November 17th is the day.
Also, Timbaland’s sequel to his 2007 banger album is scheduled for November 24th, which is sick cause it’s only a week apart. Confirmed features are from Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Shakira, Kings of Leon, Miley Cyrus, Daughtry, The Fray, and Paramore. Also:
The first single, described as having a vampire theme reminiscent of Twilight, will feature the super-producer’s new French artist SoShy. It is expected to debut this month.
Can’t wait.
Fame Kills Tour Cancelled + 50 Cent Apology
You’ve probably heard about the Kanye West + Lady Gaga tour which was planned for the new year. Tickets went on sale and all, but then the tour was suddenly cancelled. No reason as to why yet, but here’s an excerpt from The Associated Press:
Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s tour is over before it began.
Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious tour that was to kick off next month, the tour was canceled.
Live Nation announced the news on Thursday. The tour promoter says refunds will be issued.
The name of the tour was to be “Fame Kills.”
The cancellation comes on the heels of negative publicity for West. He is still feeling the heat for hijacking Taylor Swift’s award-winning moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last month.
Also, if you haven’t heard, when Gaga first announced the tour, she said she had a lot of gay fans and dubbed it the “Gay Tour” (I think, I don’t really remember, but something like that). Anyway, in a radio interview with 50 Cent, he called it the Gay Tour.. and here’s what he had to say:
During an interview with Angie Martinez yesterday, certain comments I made were taken entirely out of context. When I referred to the Lady Gaga tour as the “gay tour” I was basically repeating what I thought she had referred to the tour in the past. It was not my intention to offend anyone. I don’t have a problem with anyone’s lifestyle and have no issue with Lady Gaga, she makes great music.
I’m curious why the tour was cancelled, word is it’s cause of Kanye’s Taylor Swift interruption and his bad rep since then.
2Pac – The Lost Footage Pt. 1
Fuck it, I have a few more things that I have to post. Today if you’re all unsure marks the 13th year since Tupac past away. It was a tragedy, and left a large gap in the world of hip-hop. VIBE has decided to release series of footage never seen before to the public before for Pac’s anniversary. Quite interesting to watch. Pac talks about a unified rap nation.
Kanye West Interrupts Taylor Swift’s Speech
I wasn’t going to do any posts tonight, but after hearing about this, how could I pass it up? Better watch this quickly before it’s removed. Decent quality too.
Kid Cudi: MAN On The MOON

This has got to be one of the best months for music all year. We have Cudi dropping his debut album, Jay-Z, and there was 50 Cent who was suppose to drop his album this month but it was pushed back. More importantly, Kid Cudi has not once let me down with his tracks. He can somehow create these introspective rhymes that just indulges any hip-hopper into his music. It truly makes me have a different outlook on hip-hop itself. Man On The Moon is a 15-track album played out in five different acts, all narrated by Common. As I see it, Cudi has come from outer space, and has brought us something new. This is the start of a new hip-hop.
Edit: The whole album has leaked.

Jay-Z Talk: Signing of Kanye West & Dame Dash

An article I read that I thought might interest some of you.
Jay-Z on not receiving credit for Kanye West, Ne-Yo, Rihanna & Young Jeezy..
Let’s first clear this thing about Dame and Kanye and all of us. We all had a conversation about Kanye and whether to sign him. No one knew what would become of Kanye. Not Dame, not me not Biggs. So we all sat down and said, “Let’s at least sign so we can keep the tracks in-house. It’s only good business.” And Dame said, “We can put Beans and Cam, surround him and make this type of album.” I wasn’t saying don’t sign Kanye, I was saying, at least keep the beats in-house, if anything.
Jay-Z’s The Blueprint³

Some good and some bad news. Jay-Z’s highly anticipated album, The Blueprint³, has completely leaked over the internet. The original release date was September 11th. Tim Kash caught up with Jay for a quick interview about the Timbaland songs that had leaked previously. It was only mid-way through the interview when the entire album had leaked.
It was only a matter of time. Last week a number of tracks from Jay-Z’s upcoming The Blueprint 3 leaked online, including his collaboration with Rookie of the Year Drake on “Off That.” Now, Hov has to deal with his entire album being on the Web: The Blueprint 3 popped up on blogs this morning around the time Jay-Z appeared at a press conference announcing his 9/11 tribute concert.

Finally, one of the most anticipated debut albums of 2009, Kid Cudi’s Man On The Moon: The End Of Day album artwork was finally released today. I gotta say it looks pretty dope. The deluxe DVD version is after the jump.
Jay Rock – August Takeover

I have been missing this entire thing. I took a little break from posting, like I usually do every few days. Over those few days, Jay Rock annouced that he wanted to release 30 records, in 30 days. I have placed each song in order from the release date. Enjoy!

Remember when Cudi announced his retirement? Yeah that was pretty bad. This is basically a video of Cudi explaining himself, and why he eventually changed his mind.
